Manitoba's Network of the Future
Clear Sky Connections is the largest Indigenous-owned telecommunications network in Canada — we implement high-speed broadband connectivity. Thousands of kilometers of fiber optic cable will be carried out within all Manitoba First Nations (MFNs), connecting everyone to a world in which online environments and economies will thrive.
With everyone switching from analog to digital services, most MFNs lack affordable, dependable, and adequate connectivity required to participate in one of the most fascinating spectacles today — the internet. As technology prospers and expands, our communities also have a need to keep up with all advancements forward.
Our goal at the company is to address and rectify the connectivity gaps. We will have all Manitoba First Nations and the surrounding communities stationed on our network, to quickly provide ample service that is both affordable and stable.
Current day, internet connectivity is available in MFNs today but is considered well below the line of industry standards — this is compared to urban areas where high-speed connectivity flourishes. The connections that do exist tend to be fickle and prices can be steep, but here at Clear Sky Connections our aim is to provide higher speeds and more reliability with our impending services.
One challenge we have in deploying fiber optic cables in Manitoba is the terrain, but to overcome this complication we will adjust accordingly and use various deployment methods throughout the Province.
